love bites

Sound like crazy talk? It is, but unfortunately it's a game that is being played in countless relationships across the world. I've had it happen to me, and I have close friends that it is happening to now. They give all they can in the relationship, and it seems to go unappreciated until they decide they've had enough. They tell their significant other, "It's over. I'm tired. I'm leaving you." All of a sudden, BOOM. Their partner decides they can't live without the other. They try to make the relationship as "perfect" as it once was. They get jealous of anyone who talks to the other, they shout from the rooftops that they are in love. But why now? Why not 2 weeks, 2 months, a year ago?

It makes more sense to ALWAYS show your love for the other. Relationships are two way streets. You cannot be in one by yourself. Don't wait until the relationship is bad to show love, do it now! And if you see that you are going unloved and unappreciated, then you better start thinking about getting out. Be careful, though. Upon being left, your partner will fight, or at least try to. He or she will put up a convincing argument. They'll try everything in their power to prove their love…but only because you are leaving. Ask them why now? They won't have an answer.

And yes, sometimes your relationship WILL work out. Sometimes it just takes a kick in the pants to see what they are giving up. If they are willing to really sit and work it out, then by all means stay if you want. But if they become overzealous in their love, start sending you flowers everyday and calling every hour to say they love you, it might just be because you are leaving them, and once they see that you're staying, you'll be without flowers and phone calls. As I always say, YOU ARE SPECIAL. Don't settle for second best!
