The Moving Rocks Of Death Valley

This is not a real long subject to talk about. It is a strange one though, that always bugs me. Yes, there are fairly good sized rocks in Death Valley California, that seem to move all by themselves. The rocks are not huge by any means, but they are large enough to where no one could think that the wind blew them into their new positions. Some are about the size of a basketball and some are a bit smaller than that, and some a bit larger. These rocks lay on the desert floor and have long tracks that stretch out behind them, indicating that they have moved from on spot to another. Just as though they were slid a distance by someone or something. It isn't like they were rolled into a new position, but as though someone slid them. This doesn't seem like anything ultra- paranormal, but yet it bugs me to try to figure out how they move and leave long trails behind them. The phenomenon of the moving rocks is just one of those things that you really would like to see for yourself. No one has ever seen them move, but many have seen the trails left by the rocks that have moved from one spot to another. The area is very inhospitable, so it isn't like many people are there moving rocks for fun. They are drug distances of several hundred feet and have the trails leading back to where they were before in the sand. Okay does anyone want to venture a guess on this one?

Scientists do not investigate this at all. The field is wide open as to how they move themselves hundreds of feet with no apparent help. No animal tracks are next to them in the sand, or human footprints either. So how do they move? Nobody seems to have a clue on this. So, if any of the readers has a theory, let's hear it on the message board. How do they move? It's an odd place out there sometimes...Gtars said it..
