I’m pretty sure there would be no music and no movies if it
hadn’t been for love. Think about all those knights in shiny armor singing under
princess’s windows. Or scenes from any century when thanks to music and dance
people had a chance to touch and squeeze that one person that was giving them
funny feelings in their tummies? And as
the Valentine’s Day is getting closer and closer perhaps it’s a good idea to
think about some classic love stuff.
Everyone has their favorite movie about love. I bet that even the macho type of guys have a movie or at least a scene from one when they feel tears in their eyes and start laughing at their girlfriends/wives/any females around just to hold back tears and not lose their macho mask.
My favorite love movie/song moment is from “The Wedding Singer”. It’s a cool movie with cool music from the 80s and everyone love 80s even if they don’t admit they do. So that scene is at the end on the plane when Adam Sandler sings he would like to grow old with Drew. It’s the most beautiful love song I have ever heard. Cause it’s just cute and warm and gives you nice feeling. And that what love songs should give. Or make you cry. And the #1 in making people cry is “Ghost” of course. And of course it’s the moment with making the pottery and “Unchained Melody” in the background. The best ego boosters for your women right before the date are definitely Eric Clapton’s “You Look Wonderful Tonight “ and Joe Cocker’s “You Are So Beautiful”.
And after the date the hot part comes. And the music. Definitely not Lit and “Miserable” (… you make me come … you make me complete …. you make me completely miserable…) unless the date has a sense of humor. My favorite after date songs that would make things go wild would be: Nine Inch Nails – Closer (the line with animal, heh), Hawksley Workman – Striptease (the way this guy sings … striptease for me baby …) and Toadies with Possum Kingdom.
But of course there are as many love songs as people in love, I bet you all got the feeling while being in love that suddenly all the songs around were written for you. But of course sometimes all you can handle is “Love Stinks”, “Love Hurts” or “Love Bites”. So for all of you who are hurt or bitten there’s a list of not so lovey songs and for all of you – don’t forget to vote for Aural Awards and tell me about your favorite love/hate songs and movies, it would be nice to hear what gets you going. Till next time …
