No More Euphemisms

Did I leave anybody out? I hope not because that line is the last politically correct thing you'll read from me.

This has always been my favorite forum on the Empire, and I'd like to thank the Emporesses for giving me a chance to rant with a HAMMER . Now as I was saying, this has always been my favorite forum, but I always found it lacking in one small area. It was too politically correct. Well no more of that. I promise to make this the most Politically Incorrect "Politically Incorrect" to date.

To understand what I mean by that, you have to know what political correctness (PC) is. Plain and simply stated, PC is the distortion of fact and truth. It's kind of like the French language. No matter how disgusting a phrase is in English, if you say it in French it sounds wonderful. So, for example, the phrase "government sponsored racism" translated into PC-ese is "affirmative action". Look at those two words. "AFFIRMATIVE"...positive, forward moving, progressive, and "ACTION", energy, motion...it makes racial discrimination sound acceptable, even desirable. That's what PC does. Makes the bad seem good, and by the same token makes the good seem evil.

By way of opposition, Political INcorrectness is the truth. Calling things by their real names, not stopping to think if someone is going to be offended by it. So, to all you PC fascists out there, prepare to be offended.

Euphemism : the substitution of an agreeable or inoffensive expression for one that may offend or suggest something unpleasant.
